It’s the best I can do, Marj considers the notion of memories, giving the teller a platform on which to tell. Or reframe. Initially written as a project for young people referred into a visual arts programme in Birkenhead, the girls were asked to think of an event or person who had a positive influence on their lives and worked towards staging this memory using props and lighting that replicated the memory in a cinematic context. To contribute to the process the staff shared and choreographed their own memories leading to a truly collaborative process. It’s the best I can do, Marj is an ongoing project and work in progress.
